After the justice minister, interior minister Sander Lleshaj has also reacted after the ruling of the Appeal Court to revoke the life sentence handed to Dritan Dajti for the murder of four police officers.
The minister considers the decision as a “criminal act” perpetrated by several judges, who, according to him, should be behind bars.
Meanwhile, the minister also issued a mysterious warning: “Although I cannot offer many details, I would like to say that ‘The Strength of the Law’ operation is underway to address the outrageous and brutal crime committed on our justice system. This is an insult to the sacrifices and blood shed by hundreds of Albanian police officers in the past three decades. State Police and I, as interior minister, will not rest until this decision is overruled by the Supreme Court and until the perpetrators of this unprecedented act are brought to justice”.
In yesterday’s public appearance, Mr. Lleshaj also launched accusations against the opposition. “I despise the reactions of these political monsters who try to misuse and attack the government with the rulings given by judges who during their time in power, have managed to make this justice system one of the most corrupted one”, Mr. Lleshaj said.
