“Cooperation between Albania and Hungary should intensify”
President of the Republic, Ilir Meta received in a meeting the Secretary of State of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Peter Sztaray.

Referring to the excellent historical and traditional ties that have existed between the two countries and nations, president Meta underlined that these relations became even stronger when Geraldine Apponyi became queen of Albanians.

The pair also discussed bilateral cooperation, stressing that both countries are interested on intensifying economic and trade cooperation.

“Hungarian investments are welcome in Albania and during my last visit to Hungary, I saw that the Hungarian authorities are very eager on intensifying economic and trade relations with Albania”, president Meta said.

Meanwhile, the pair discussed the latest developments in Western Balkans and the Euro-Atlantic future of the countries of this region.
